In July 2019, I was focusing on practicing daily gratitude and making a list of my “top 10 goals” that I want to achieve and the idea was that you write them AS IF you have already accomplished them. I don't know if you've ever tried to to write out 10 goals, but it's HARD! LOL
But the practice of handwriting it out and pushing myself to do it, showed me that there were things that started coming out on paper that I didn't consciously know! Strangest experience ever! LOL
There was a new program launching for us at the time called, Morning Meltdown 100 and the entire message behind the program was to commit to completing all 100 workouts and to recognize that giving it your “100%” looks different from day to day depending on all kinds of things and season of your life, but if you can commit to "BE 100" percent your BEST and to honour yourself and have love and compassion for yourself each and every day, THAT is the goal.
So I was writing in my goals & gratitude journal and getting ready soon to head to Coach Summit in Indianapolis where I was going to meet up with my team to soak it all in together, and as a leader to these incredible women, I knew it was my job to raise the bar and set a goal that would not only challenge us, but would rally us together as a tribe to get excited about working toward achieving an incredible goal, together…..
And I know this sounds “woo woo,” but I was listing out these goals as if they have already happened, and out it came from my pen to paper:
“I have helped 100 women, BE 100, together.”
This meant that our goal was to rally together and complete the program from start to finish as a group of 100 women, together.
It was incredible to see how many of us locked arms to stand behind this mission.
The idea of completing 100 workouts felt like a big goal, but one that we could get excited to commit to, and knowing that you going to have obstacles along the way, but are encouraged to show up YOUR best through them, whatever it looked like, what exactly what we needed as a community to show ourselves and each other an abundance of grace, compassion, self-love and self-care.
We arrived in Indianapolis and we had reservations to have a special team dinner and we wanted to take some team photos and all decided to wear black for the photos. There was a moment when I looked around at these incredible women sitting together at our table who were from ALL across Canada and the USA and each and every one of them had incredible transformations……
-40 lbs, -45 lbs, -75 lbs, -90 lbs, -130 lbs
and it was a moment I will NEVER forget because most of our time spent together is virtually online, but here we were all together in the same room and our table was filled with women who have changed their lives in incredible ways and we had supported one another each and every day.
It was perfect timing to surprise them with a few fun props I had hidden for our photos and we had the BEST time laughing our butts off trying to coordinate for some good shots….
SPILER ALERT: Not only did we come together to help 100 women, BE 100, we exceeded our goal and we really created a MOVEMENT of what it means to empower and support women exactly as they are, creating an environment where you are encouraged to LOVE yourself, have compassion for yourself, hold space for yourself in challenging seasons of your life and to celebrate your commitment to showing up to be YOUR best in whatever capacity that looks like…
I'm sharing this because our community isn't just a place for you to log your workouts, nutrition and progress….we are REAL women who have committed together whole-heartedly standing behind our mission to empower women in this way.
I feel blessed beyond measure to have somehow attracted these women into my life and I stand solid in my mission to this day, 7 years and counting.
Project 100 has become our ongoing “flag ship” community where we collaborate as coaches to help support YOU and each other.
While you'll see women focusing on anything and everything in the BOD library and BOD Interactive (BODi) live group glasses (coming September 2021), each and every month, we collaborate to bring you fresh, fun and engaging daily content that focuses on seasonal themes throughout the year to help keep you engaged in your healthy lifestyle journey.
I hope you enjoyed learning about how Project 100 was born and a little bit more about the culture of our community!
